Because of production method the fibres in the structure of open end yarns irregular formed. But this irregular form is always same along yarn. Uniform structure is the most important thing in open end yarns. For example: irregular form is %10-20 better along yarn than compared ring yarn.

Abrasion resistance is higher at high twisted types and friction strength  %5-7 more than compared ring yarn.

Open end yarn has a volumeness and high adsorption characters. High adsorption character contributes to get bright shades and printing designs. Besides, characteristics of covering capacity, heat insulating, air permeability are better than ring yarn too. Thanks to these characters gets uniform regularity, smooth surface and low hairy yarns.

Open end yarns have high elasticity character. Because of twisting peculiarity disorientated fibers higher on exterior of open end yarns.These disorientated fibers orientate and increase to get longer when yarn is drawing.

However all of these positive characteristics strength is %15-20 lower than compared ring yarn.

Especially, open end yarn is favorite in production like trousers, blue jean, youngwear, sportswear, baby suit etc. fabrics, home textile and decorative purposed fabrics and also industrial fabrics whiches don’t need high strentgth.
