BRAND AWARENESS
The ProModal® innovation comprises the branded fibers Lenzing Modal® and TENCEL®. Both fibers are very well established in the textile market. Lenzing Modal® features in the collections of many brand manufacturers worldwide and is used to make textiles particularly soft and pleasant. The level of brand recognition of Lenzing Modal® is very high in the textile branch and nowadays one can no longer imagine international collections without Modal .
FUNCTION IN ADDITION
TENCEL® itself is known as a natural and functional fiber. The particularly good moisture
absorption coupled with skin-sensitive properties make this special fiber attractive for
many fields of application such as in Activewear, clothing for sensitive skin and home textiles such as bed wear
PATENT IDEA
The combination of these two fibers is thus extremely promising. ProModal® offers
softness and performance in one and the same product. The special blending ratio as well
as a TENCEL®-fiber developed especially for this application, make textiles of ProModal®
unmistakable. In a blending machine specially constructed for Lenzing for this purpose,
each individual gram of ProModal® is precisely mixed thus guaranteeing a homogeneous
blending ratio of the two fibers and an optimal quality. Lenzing is the sole supplier of this
fiber combination. Only Lenzing produces both of these cellulose fibers. A patent has been filed for ProModal®
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
ProModal® is used in knitwear in 100 % form as well as in blends with cotton. The goal
is to conquer all the applications of Lenzing Modal® and to introduce new trends in this textile application with ProModal

Best fiber combination
ProModal® unites the best of two fiber worlds since it is a fiber blend of Lenzing Modal® and TENCEL®.
ProModal® is very promising since the fiber blend unites softness and functionality. A homogeneous blending ratio of both fibers in a specially calibrated blendomat guarantees an optimum quality.
During fabric production, ProModal® fabrics reveal a higher tear strength after mercerizing which can be passed on to the finished textile. The process reliability, which is improved by the higher tear strength, makes ProModal® a high-quality fiber for finishing. The bursting limit is another important property. The former is up to 20% higher compared to standard Modal.

ProModal® is the perfect combination between the Lenzing specialty fiber Lenzing Modal® and TENCEL®.

High characterize yarns produced by micronylon fiber mixes with micromodal fiber. Yarn produced from microfibers have more filaments in cross section than normal yarns therefore, having a bigger surface area compared to the other fibers. At the same time provides much demanded characteristics such as well fitting, comfort, softness and fullness in the best way than other fibers.
Even for closely woven fabrics, the weight per surface area ratio is at a low level, and the fabric does not crease. Blend covers a perfect combination of handle, softness, gentle and well fitting characteristics provided by micromodal and dry and wet tensile strength properties of micronylon, which are stable and harmonic with micromodal.

MICROMODAL AIR
A patent has been filed for the new and finest micro fiber on the basis of Modal and it is now the fiber innovation in the lingerie sector. Test quantities of this, the finest Modal fiber, are currently being produced at the Austrian headquarters. The further processing of the fiber continues together with customers. Yarns can be produced on high-performance spinning machines with a count of up to 225 Nm.

Applications for MicroModal® AIR
The main applications for the MicroModal® AIR fiber are in knit wear. With MicroModal® AIR even finer knit fabrics can be produced. Thus lingerie becomes even more luxurious. In general the Modal standard fiber is used in the knit wear sector and the fiber innovation MicroModal® AIR will further reinforce this segment. Manufacturers now have recourse to a wide range of different Modal fibers from Lenzing
MicroModal® AIR – a fiber with unbeatable properties
The new micro fiber has all the well-known positive properties of the standard micro Modal® fiber from Lenzing. However, it is even finer and much more tender than its sister fiber. MicroModal® is also soft, cosy, and pleasant to wear next to the skin. Likewise naturalness is at the heart of each and every MicroModal® AIR fiber. Lenzing Modal® fibers are made from beech wood and are manufactured using an eco-friendly tecnologies. Valuable by-products, which occur when making fibers, are recovered and put to further use.

Feather-light fineness from the world of plants
The newly developed micro fiber of Lenzing AG for which a patent has been filed stands out due to its extreme lightness and fineness. A fiber diameter of only 0.8 dtex makes MicroModal® AIR the lightest Modal fiber available in the marketplace.
MicroModal® AIR is perfection itself when it comes to fineness. The new fiber can be used in luxurious lingerie. Knit fabrics become even lighter and finer than ever before. MicroModal® AIR tops with a mass per unit area of less than 100 g are now a reality.
The natural properties of the Lenzing Modal® fiber remain intact. The finest knit fabrics of MicroModal® AIR feel wonderfully soft. Even after repeated washing, these fabrics have not relinquished their fantastic softness. The exceptionally pleasant feeling on the skin continues.
MicroModal® AIR can be processed using high speed spinning systems. The knit fabrics are symmetrically smooth and reveal a perfect fabric appearance. Yarns up to a count of 225 Nm can be spun leading to new knit creations in the fine count range (e 36) for luxury applications.
MicroModal® AIR is made from beech wood. When the raw materials for MicroModal® AIR are growing, botanic principles apply: CO2 is converted into oxygen. Likewise fiber production obeys the principles of sustainability. Valuable by-products from the process are recovered and used again.

After 25 times of washing:
100% Cotton 100% Micromodal
Micromodal fabrics absorb humidity and transfer it to the outside faster than cotton fabrics do. Hence, these fabrics dry very fast and humidity transferring characteristics of them are excellent. Modal fabrics remain lustrous and soft, even after several times of washing.
MICROMODAL / MICRONYLON
This blend covers a perfect combination of handle, softness, gentle and well fitting characteristics provided by micromodal and dry and wet tensile strength properties of micronylon, which are stable and harmonic with micromodal.
MICROMODAL / COMBED COTTON
In addition to both two fibers’ being natural, comfortable and ideal for skin, micromodal/combed cotton yarn provides special and perfect handle with the effect of extra lustrous, gentle, full and well fittingmicromodal fiber. Thanks to these characteristics, it is possible to get softer, cooler and softer fabrics compared to cotton fiber. This blend is especially preferred in women’s underwear, as for its silky appearance.
